Every part of the world is represented by a flag. It is an essential part of every region's identity. No matter how large or small the particular part of the world is and no matter how many people identify themselves with it. The design of the flag, the colours, the shapes - they all tell fascinating stories.

I will tell you about the flags of the world. The selection will be very much subjective and inspired by my travels, current affairs or simply chosen at random. I want to shed more light on the lesser known flags and so you will see a lot of autonomic regions and semi-independent countries.

I'll start with Europe but by no means the selection is going to be restricted to the Old Continent. It's a good start though. I hope you will find it as fascinating as I do.
